Who is responsible

The site is published under the name AlacatiLife. For any question or request about your personal data, write to iletisim@alacatilife.com.

What is processed

Simply browsing the site asks nothing of you. Data is processed in the following cases:

• Your cookie choice: your selection in the cookie notice (accept or reject) is stored in your browser's localStorage. It is never sent to our servers and only prevents the notice from reappearing.
• Visit statistics: Google Analytics 4 loads only if you accept cookies, collecting which pages are viewed along with approximate location, device and browser. If you reject, Google Analytics is never loaded.
• Business submissions: if you complete the "List your business" form, the business name and type, the contact person's name and email address are recorded, along with optional phone, website, Instagram, location and message.
• Place feedback: if you suggest a correction on a place page, your message is recorded together with an email address if you choose to leave one.
• IP address: the server uses your IP address temporarily, in memory, to limit excessive requests from the same address. It is not written to the database and is not retained.

Purposes and legal basis

Form data is processed to assess your submission or report and to contact you where needed, on the basis of the relationship you initiate by writing to us. Visit statistics are processed to improve the site and rest solely on your explicit consent. The temporary use of IP addresses rests on the legitimate interest of preventing abuse of the service.

Third parties

We do not sell data and do not share it with anyone for marketing. The services used to run the site are:

• Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.) — only if you have accepted cookies.
• Cloudflare — hosting and delivery of the site.
• Neon (AWS Frankfurt, eu-central-1) — database hosting. Form data is stored within the European Union.

Retention

Business submissions and feedback are deleted within a reasonable period once they have been reviewed. You can ask for your data to be deleted at any time by writing to iletisim@alacatilife.com; requests are handled within 30 days at the latest.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and Turkey's KVKK you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed, to request information about it, to have it corrected or erased, to object to processing and to withdraw consent you have given. Writing to iletisim@alacatilife.com is enough to exercise any of these.

Changing your cookie choice

Clearing the site's data (localStorage) in your browser makes the cookie notice appear again so you can change your choice. If you previously accepted Google Analytics and then reject it, no measurement takes place on subsequent visits.
